The morning of Pat and Sally’s civil partnership at Islington Town Hall started with the most terrible downpour! Forget spring showers it was more like monsoon June. But as is often the way, the luck of the brides meant it stopped the minute they left the house and a little patch of sunshine followed them from Clerkenwell to Islington.
My day started at their home in London’s EC1. It’s always lovely capturing the informal shots of family and friends arriving from far and wide. From there we travelled to Islington Town Hall in style on a beautifully restored Routemaster bus supplied by www.thisbus.com.
The Civil Partnership ceremony took place in the Council Chamber at Islington Town Hall. This is certainly one of the loveliest North London registry offices to get married in with beautiful vaulted ceiling and stain glass windows. A grand room, for a grand occasion.
Following the ceremony it was back on the bus to be taken via the City of London to the reception venue at The Modern Pantry, in Clerkenwell for lunch.
Congratulations to you both!! Here’s a little sneak peak at some of my favourites from the collection.
